• Bridge to the Isle Of Man

It is amazing how an event can set the tone and the mentality about motorcycling into countries. As I ride my big and sedated Harley on Irish roads and see “packs” of sport bikes, I notice this sort of  ” TT RACE” presence among riders, as if they are all trying to portrait this image of racers on a race track, set on a residential street, at the Isle of Man. Certainly there is nothing wrong with that. In fact I wish there would be more colourful graphics on the bikes.

What bothers me is when some of these young adults go beyond the innocent imagery and into this massive intelligence insult mode by speeding their bikes, on average residential roads, up to 150 miles per hour. My only assumption is that Ireland must be desperate for organ donors and these guys are volunteers. Therefore they must be heroes!

I just hope someone or maybe the ” Road Safety Authority” will build race tracks around Ireland, so these guys can perform their noble duty, in a controlled environment, without causing damage to someones property or killing innocent bystanders.

I must say, I am glad cruising bikes are beginning to take center stage now.
